We are having a Celtic-inspired wedding ceremony & dance near our home in Loanhead in August at Bilston Miners Welfare & Social Club

Bring your ceilidh-dancing shoes & taco-eating bellies

Dress Code

Bring comfortable attire & shoes if you fancy dancing the evening away... Fun & colourful & flowing outfits heavily (!!!) encouraged

Photographs

There will be a photographer and we will share all photos with you, so please keep your phone away during the handfasting ceremony. After this please take & upload photos here!

Let us know any allergies or intolerances in advance when sending your RSVP

Partial Attendance

If you are unable to make any specific part of the day, please let us know as we are happy to be flexible

Speeches

We are NOT having any speeches or toasts. We will have a guest book to write well-wishes

Pentland Plants (5 mins walk to the north) is a good landmark to know you're in the right place when looking up how to get there

    Bilston Miners Welfare Club Seafield Rd, Bilston, Roslin (EH25 9RW)

    Limited parking on site & street parking nearby.

    Access from no.37 and no.47 buses. Night no.37 runs until 4am

    Book a taxi in advance if you’ll need one!

  2. Handfasting Ceremony

    We are tying the knot (literally) & short first dance before we all get dancing!

  3. Ceilidh Commences!

    We have a live band & caller to guide you through the dances. No previous experience expected!

    Dancing very much encouraged but not mandatory

    We have plenty of table games for guests who aren't able to dance!

  4. Taco time!

    Lots of food... plenty of guacamole & chips, frijoles, and tacos!

    Allergens are taken very seriously so please let me know any requirements you have.

  5. Party games & more dancing

    Send us your suggestions for fun party games to play together after tea! All game participation is voluntary

    After the live band finishes we shall switch to the sound system. Send us songs to add to the playlist!

  6. Cinderella leaves the Ball... 🎃

    Last orders at the bar & carriages (taxis & buses) home

    We're not certain what the plan is for the day but we'll be bringing a fun corn hole board

    The more adventurous can go for a walk through the glen paths

  4. Pub?

    If we're still on our feet by the evening then a wee trip to the pub isn't off the cards...
